Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support within our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent patient service skills. The Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Prepare patients for their appointments by taking vital signs and medical histories.
Administer injections, medications, and other treatments as directed by physicians.
Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality patient care in emergency medicine and internal medicine settings.

Requirements

Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures and emergency medicine protocols.
Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care.
Ability to perform coding for medical billing purposes is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.96 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
