We are hiring a medical assistant, no experience necessary and medical assistant certification is not a requirement.

This job is up to 36-38 hours per week Monday-Thursday. Yes-you get Fridays off!!!

Below is a list of tasks that a medical assistant does throughout the work day:

-charting past medical history and chief complaint in electronic medical records
-being empathetic and listening carefully to patient concerns
- cleaning and restocking rooms
- filing nails with a nail Dremel
-laser therapy (you will become laser certified)
-applying casting and taping to feet/ankles
-sizing and dispensing medical equipment such as boots, shoes, inserts
-taking X-rays
-dispensing and charting medical assistant visits
-on-the-job training and re-educating on things
-supply orders
-demonstrating and handing out patient exercises
-scanning, filing, printing items as needed
-documenting and writing work notes and other paperwork for patients
-making appointments for patients
-ordering supplies
-assisting other team members

Below is a list of tasks that a medical assistant assists the front desk with:

-Faxing, scanning, filing medical documentation
-check-in of a patient (place patient in room, check insurances and other medical information, verify billing information on file, inform patients of balances)
-check-out of a patient (collect payments and balances, use an electronic medical record to record payments, communications, direct liaison with billers, make next appointments, fill out work notes)
-other miscellaneous clerical tasks around the office
