Responsibilities

Direct, oversee and evaluation of all nursing personnel
Guide staffing procedures, develop and implement competency skills and checklist for nursing department
Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures
Develop and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with regulations
Control budgets and monitor expenditures
Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
Manage and monitor infection tracking, antibiotic stewardship program
Immunizations
Collaborate with other departments and professionals

Skills/Education

Experience as director of nursing- Preferred
Long term/skilled nursing-Preferred
Understanding of basic budgeting
Great knowledge of state/federal regulations and best practices in healthcare
Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
Must be a Registered Nurse or BSN

Role Expectations

Effective collaborative communication with the interdisciplinary team
Accepts and assumes job assignments
Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day
Rotating on-call amongst other nursing management members
Flexible scheduling
CPR Instructor Certification
Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Certified
FIT Testing Certified
