SUMMARY

Works in collaboration with the medical director (physician) to assess the physical needs of the consumer. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to the physician. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Familiar with advanced concepts, practices and procedures within chosen field of expertise. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Completes histories and physical examinations in accordance with medical standards.
Completes evaluations in accordance with NET, CARF, and state licensing standards, and payor requirements.
Develops treatment plans and all clinical documentation in accordance with NET, CARF and licensing standards, and payor requirements.
Prescribes appropriate medical protocols and medications in accordance with medical standards.
Documents services provided in a legible, timely, and individualized manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office setting in a healthcare facility for behavioral healthcare services.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Requires a master's degree AND certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice.
