Pinon Family Practice is an established (since the 90's) independent and private (not hospital/corporate owned) family medicine clinic in SW Littleton (Kipling and C470). We see patients of all ages.

We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to join our clinical team. We are looking for a professional with strong communication skills, a rigorous attention to detail and excellent organization. The ideal candidate must be proficient in medical terminology and knowledgeable about medical systems and systems of the human body. Our medical assistants will provide support and assistance to doctors, patients and other employees as needed, and should expect to perform administrative tasks when needed.

Responsibilities:

Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
Administer prescribed medications and immunizations in accordance with the providers order
Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
Respond to all lab messages and call back requests
Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure
Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis
Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
Maintain complete and accurate documentation
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
