The Nurse Educator plays a crucial role in enhancing the knowledge and skills of nursing staff and students within a healthcare setting. This position is responsible for preparing prospective nursing students for relevant coursework and nursing exams.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver comprehensive educational programs for prospective nursing students
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback and performance assessments.
Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff in specialized areas such as ICU and home care.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in nursing education and healthcare trends to continuously improve training materials.

Skills

Strong background in patient care with a thorough understanding of medical terminology.
Experience as a nurse within a hospital or teaching hospital setting is essential.
Proficiency in adult education principles to effectively engage learners.
Knowledge of anatomy and critical care practices, particularly in ICU settings.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance during educational activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative learning environment.
Ability to assess learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
