Job Summary:
Responsible for all functions related to coordinating, supervising, and managing surgical services at Novi Surgery Center. Work under the direction of the Clinical operations director and in conjunction with the Medical Director and the Administrator to ensure all compliance and quality requirements are met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides effective leadership and supervisory support to staff.
Selects qualified and competent employees to provide patient care and services based on the scope of their training, licensure, and experience.
Ensures employees are given thorough orientation.
Evaluates employees, monitoring their productivity and providing constructive criticism and coaching.
Interacts with physicians.
Handles and resolves patients' complaints/grievances as per policies and procedures.
Collaborates and coordinates with surgical scheduling, medical staff leaders, and administration.
Participates in Novi Surgery Center’s Quality Improvement Program.
Assist in maintaining nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
Maintains nursing staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining through monitoring and appraising nurses job performance.
Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff.
Train new staff as necessary.
Assists managers with schedules to meet the needs of the department.
Organizes workflow and ensures that the staff understand their duties and delegated tasks.
Facilitates and develops a team whose vision and priorities align with Novi Surgery Center.
Empowers staff to make decisions by providing tools and information.
Attends management, staff and OA meetings as requested.
Assist In the development and implementation of special projects.
Maintain a positive working relationship with staff.
Always Maintains HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
Assist in performing quarterly and annual employee reviews and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help them meet professional goals.
Ensure that all policies and procedures function in accordance with state and federal laws.
Create goals and objectives for their department and make sure they are met by the staff.
Act as an educator.
Assist In cost case management.
Assist In maintaining requirements In QAPI (Quality Assurance Performance Improvement).
Performs other duties as assigned by Operations director and Administrator.
Maintains a safe and clean environment by designing health procedures and protocols.
Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating Information.
Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients.
Assists in solving any problems patients might have at the facility.
Assist in recruiting, hiring and coordination of training of new staff members.
Professional/ Regulatory Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited nursing school
Registered Nurse licensure and supervisor experience
Two or more years of supervisory experience as an RN
Current BLS/ACLS certification (or within six months of hiring)

Language Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills in order to facilitate effective interaction with a variety of health care professionals and Novi Surgery Center personnel.
Other Skills:
Strong computer knowledge and aptitude to learn new software as required
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize work efficiently to achieve Novi Surgery Center’s goals.
Familiarity with Policies and Procedures of Novi Surgery Center
Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
