Job Description:

The Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) in Emergency Medical Services plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality emergency care while supporting the nursing staff and facilitating effective operational management. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and support to nursing staff within the EMS department.
Mentor and guide nursing personnel to enhance their professional development and clinical skills.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by nursing staff in emergency situations.
Implement quality improvement initiatives based on patient outcomes and feedback.
Contribute to the development and revision of policies and procedures related to emergency nursing practice.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding emergency medical services.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure cohesive patient care.
Act as a liaison between nursing staff and upper management to address concerns and improve workflow.
Lead and support nursing staff during emergency situations, ensuring adherence to protocols and effective response.
Conduct post-incident debriefings to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for the EMS nursing staff, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
Participate in the procurement and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment used in emergency care.
