Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a Virginia license to join our healthcare team.
We are a nurse practitioner owned, primary care practice that specializes in medical marijuana patients. This position is to perform evaluations and certifications for medical marijuana cards. We will train and have another nurse practitioner available to you for support. All visits will all be done through telemedicine. We will train you on our user friendly system. We have been in business since 2018 and have been expanding with high customer satisfaction ratings.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with a focus on providing high-quality medical services to diverse populations. This role requires a commitment to improving patient outcomes through effective diagnosis, treatment, and health education. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and virtual physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide care for patients with various conditions, including chronic pain and PTSD.
- Perform health coaching to empower patients in managing their health effectively.
- Conduct utilization reviews to ensure appropriate care delivery and resource management.
- Document patient interactions accurately, including coding for billing purposes.
- Stay current with best practices in the states medical marijuana laws.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience in medical marijuana or similar settings is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on healthcare trends.
