Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in various clinical settings across different locations. This role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations. You will be responsible for delivering nursing care while ensuring the comfort and well-being of your patients.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings, including clinics and hospitals.
- Perform essential nursing procedures such as IV insertion, venipuncture, and airway management.
- Conduct gastric lavage and ostomy care as needed.
- Develop and implement discharge planning for patients to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home or other care facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for patients with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Assist in managing the needs of patients with disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate support and care.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting, with specific skills in gastric lavage, airway management, IV insertion, venipuncture, and ostomy care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems; experience with Cerner is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours as required by assignments.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
