Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with a focus on infusion therapy. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing infusion treatments. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.
Duties
- Administer intravenous (IV) medications and therapies according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients during infusion treatments, assessing vital signs and overall health status.
- Educate patients about treatment plans, medication administration, and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic and Athenahealth.
- Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on urgency.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures during all procedures.
- Provide support for various specialties including internal medicine, ophthalmology, and critical care transport as needed.
Skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficient in internal medicine practices and principles.
- Knowledge of dermal fillers administration is beneficial.
- Familiarity with workers compensation law.
- Understanding of mammography procedures.
- Proficient in triage techniques for effective patient assessment.
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Athenahealth.
- Ability to manage critical care transport scenarios effectively.
