The Mansion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a family-owned 62-bed Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team.
Position Summary
The ADON serves as the assistant to the DNS. Our facility philosophy is that the DNS and the ADON are a collaborating team. The ADON assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department to assure quality care and resident safety so that each resident maintains the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
- Active unencumbered RN License in the State of RI
- DNS, ADON, or other nursing management experience preferred
- CPR certification
- Two (2) years' geriatric nursing experience preferred, preferably in post-acute care
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Positive, friendly communication style with staff

Essential Functions
- Assist the DNS in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing department
- Assume the functions and responsibilities of DNS during any absence
- Serve as a resource for staff, residents, families, and volunteers
- Perform nursing duties as needed
