This remote role allows you to provide exceptional nursing care to adult patients across various settings, including acute and sub-acute care, emergency departments, critical care units, skilled nursing facilities, and homes. Collaborating with on-site clinical teams, you will lend your expertise to enhance patient care and ensure effective coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a clinical leader within a collaborative care team, offering expert virtual nursing support.
Employ critical thinking and evidence-based practices to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care.
Provide education to patients and families, mentor junior nurses, and support interdisciplinary care teams.
Leverage acute and critical care knowledge to improve patient safety and outcomes.
Navigate and utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) effectively, including systems like Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
Monitor telemetry and EKGs, interpreting vital data to guide medical interventions.
Focus on patient advocacy, proactive monitoring, and providing safe, efficient, patient-centered care.
Required Skills
Extensive experience in telemetry monitoring and critical care procedures.
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
Exceptional communication abilities, capable of delivering clear, professional guidance to patients and healthcare teams.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in acute or critical care environments.
At least 1 year of leadership or charge nurse experience.
A valid RN license and an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), with additional specialty certifications preferred.
