Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.

The Ambulatory Care Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluations, which facilitate patient care. Teaching patients and significant others information concerning health care needs is essential to the care giving process. Works as a member of the multidisciplinary team to promote high quality cost efficient health care.
