The Staff Nurse under the supervision of the Charge Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of patients assigned to him/her, and to direct others in patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Illinois Registered Professional Nursing license with biennial renewal.
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
Certification in clinical specialty encouraged.
Personal
Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
The nurse residency program is a 9 month program in addition to the 12 week orientation working directly with a trained preceptor that provides new grad RNs with the knowledge, skills and resources to be successful in their roles, and build confidence as they learn to navigate how to care for patients on the Medical-Surgical and Intensive Care Units.
