The Occupational Registered Nurse will provide nursing assessment, treatment and recommendations to cast members related to illness or injury of cast members, within their scope of practice. General responsibilities include providing medical care by taking vital signs, assessing patients’ injury, illness, documenting findings, formulating and educating on treatment plans, and performing medical interventions within the RN scope of practice. The Registered Nurse initiates and supports timely patient flow, and assists by collecting and documenting patient medical history, appropriate medical intervention, coordination of physician medical assessment, physical examination, and occupational medical treatment.

The RN maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following safety standards and procedures. This includes adhering to the highest standard of confidentiality and ensuring that all communication and dialogue is handled in the same manner. Accepts responsibility for assisting co-workers, including rotating job duties as needed or assigned. Maintains effective dialogue and communication with peers, leaders, and associates. Ensures that leadership remains apprised and updated on pertinent matters requiring attention; and upholds and abides by Disneyland Resort standards of business conduct.

To do their jobs well, nurses need to have physical strength and stamina, the ability to move around freely, and the ability to see, hear and communicate well with patients. Working conditions for this position requires standing for extended periods of time, frequent walking and lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling, or carrying heavy objects throughout the shift. You must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. The position requires frequent bending, stretching, or twisting of the body, and frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. A nurse needs physical strength and ability to kneel/squat to complete emergency procedures such as CPR.

This is a full-time position requiring five 8-hour shifts per week at the Disneyland Resort located in Anaheim, California. Shifts are Tuesday thru Saturday. Regular days off are Sunday & Monday. Candidates should be prepared to work holidays.

What You Will Do


  • Provides nursing assessment and recommendations to Cast Members related to the illness or injury resulting in an initial determination of occupational versus non-occupational mechanism of injury or illness.
  • Inputs patient information and nursing assessments in the electronic medical record Document and Maintain records related to the treatment of Cast Members in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and Cal-OSHA
  • Understands basic OSHA recordkeeping
  • Interacts with Workers’ Compensation, Safety, and the Company Physician/Provider to facilitate processing of work-related illnesses or injuries
  • Performs regulatory required medical surveillance exams as indicated by current Occupational Health and Safety Administration standards
  • Administers travel immunizations under physician orders
  • Performs medical treatment in accordance with training and licensure
  • Conducts assessments and treatments efficiently and in compliance with organizational operating guidelines
  • Completes all documentation and quality checks to reduce the chance of omission or errors
  • Promotes health improvement programs to cast members
  • Provides basic non-occupational first aid care and assessment


Required Qualification & Skills


  • Current California RN Licensure
  • Minimum 3+ years Registered Nurse Experience
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
  • Demonstrated experience with electronic medical records or Health Management Systems
  • Background working with basic office programs and medical equipment such as audiometer/spirometer
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain medical confidentiality
  • Flexible work schedule including working on Holidays and occasional overtime
  • Timely and effective communication as demonstrated through strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with management team in the completion of business goals and strategies, follow operational guidelines, and comply with standing orders


Required Education


  • Bachelor Degree
  • Current CPR Certification


Preferred Qualifications


  • Masters’ Degree
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN | COHN-S)
  • Experience working in Urgent Care, Emergency room, Intensive Care Unit, or Occupational Health Nursing
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Program Suite


The hiring range for this position in California is $85,800.00 to $115,000.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
