Years of experience REQ: 3 years of NICU IV experience
Must have experience attending high-risk deliveries
Floating REQ: L&D; possibility of floating between OCM & SMC
Weekend REQ: Travelers will be scheduled as needed to meet the needs of the unit
On-call REQ: No
Documentation System: EPIC
Certs REQ: BLS, Advanced NRP
Duties:
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Conduct specialized procedures such as IV insertion, gastric lavage, and ophthalmology exams
- Provide support and education to parents on infant care, including tube feeding and dementia care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Skills:
- Proficiency in patient assessment and monitoring
- Strong knowledge of neonatal care standards and protocols
- Experience in IV insertion, specimen collection processing, and medication administration
- Ability to perform specialized procedures such as gastric lavage and ophthalmology exams
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques for infants with neurological conditions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate medical records
