Etowah Health Care Center is accepting applications for a Registered Nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing. Experience in a long-term care setting is strongly preferred.
The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible to provide leadership and supervision of the day to day activities of the nursing department as well as actively participate in quality improvement activities to promote resident centered care that is consistent with current nursing standards. Quality improvement activities may include but are not limited to collecting and analyzing incidents and accidents, quality assurance, and infection control data,: hiring and providing orientation education to new employees, and providing guidance to the nursing staff with such activities as admissions, discharges and transfers, care planning and promotion of resident centered care. These activities must be completed in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing reports directly to the Director of Nursing. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director will serve to fulfill the duties and responsibilities to lead the nursing department. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work closely with the Director of Nursing and other members of the interdiscilinary team to coordinate and evaluate resident care and services. Duties and responsibilities may change over time to meet the needs of the residents and comply with regulatory requirements.
