Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and assisting with daily activities. Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Provide basic life support and emergency care as needed
- Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterization, and tube feedings
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner)
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited nursing assistant program
- Previous experience in acute care or long-term care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
