MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides personal care such as baths, showers, oral hygiene, finger/toenail care, provide/monitor fluid intake and output, toileting, preparation for meals/feeding, washing face/hands etc.
- Uses safety measures for residents and self‑using good body mechanics at all times, i.e.: Hoyer lift, side rails, etc.
- Answers call lights promptly and provide or obtain the necessary care.
- Observes and reports unusual symptoms, changes, accidents and injuries to the charge nurse.
- Follows establish infection control guidelines for maintaining cleanliness of drawers, closets, resident bathrooms, clean and dirty utility rooms, nutrition station and nurse’s station.
- Completes nursing assistant Orientation/Certification Program and successfully maintains certification.
- Performs other related duties as necessary and directed by charge nurse/supervisor.'
