About The Position
- Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night Shift, 7 PM - 7 AM **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** 2 years of experience; PCU experience preferred **License:** Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association **Job Description:** - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation. - Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. - Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation. - Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. - Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles. - Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes. - Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. - Communicate effectively in all areas of practice. - Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice. - Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. - Seek knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking. - Integrate evidence and research findings into practice. - Contribute to quality nursing practice. - Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practices in relation to professional standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. - Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. - Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. - Practice ethically. - Promote shared governance or decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion. Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds and respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate are essential. Must wear navy blue scrubs. English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing) is required.
