Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively with both adults and children.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the health of patients' teeth and gums.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary choices that affect oral health.
- Conduct documentation reviews to maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the development of treatment plans alongside dentists based on patient assessments.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure infection control.
- Work with pediatric patients, applying specialized knowledge in pediatric dentistry to create a comfortable environment.
- Operate dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling and patient management.
- Stay updated on medical coding practices relevant to dental procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software, particularly Eaglesoft, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and documentation review processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $51.93 - $54.79 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 22 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
License/Certification:
- Registered Dental Hygienist (Preferred)
