Brook Stone Living Center is a locally owned facility with 80 skilled and 20 assisted living beds.
Purpose:
· Provide quality patient care by assisting the Director of Nurses in his/her responsibility toward patients and employees in the nursing unit.
Qualifications:
· Must be a graduate of an approved school of Nursing
· Must be a licenses LPN in the state of NC
· Must be of good physical and mental health and sound character
· Must be trainable and willing to cooperate with others
· Must have prior experiences in principles of rehabilitative and restorative nursing care
Responsibilities:
· Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing
· Help assist the Director as appropriate
· Practice good ethical conduct on duty
· Assume any duty assigned within the bounds of an LPN’s professional license
· Continue education by attending workshops, in-service classes and by reading literature
· Make rounds with physicians and assist them in examinations and treatments of the patient
· Perform all procedures of good nursing care
· Perform isolation procedures as necessary
· Be alert to all needs of patients and report accurately essential facts to the physician
· Notify physicians and families of change in patients’ status
· Set up and administer medications to patients
· Maintain patient records as required
· Maintain accurate narcotic records
· Assist in making out assignment sheets and follow-up on duties performed
· Give report to oncoming nurse
· Order medications for patients and unit
· Any other duties as assigned by DON/Administrator

Pay: $25.00 - $30.25 per hour
