Job Summary
The Cardiac Rehab RN works as a team member of the Cardiac Rehab Department. Under the general direction of the Cardiac Rehab Supervisor, this position treats cardiac patients who are recovering from or trying to manage cardiovascular disease focusing on patient satisfaction. Plan, prepare and administer cardiopulmonary diagnostics, therapeutics, and/or education to the patient or family members, in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the department. Complete all documentation of assessments, diagnostics, therapeutics, and/ or education to the patient or family members, in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the department. Ability to monitor the cardiovascular responses of heart rate, heart rhythm, and blood pressure, RPE & dyspnea scale. Ability to Inspect, Test, Clean, Maintain, and Use of specialized Cardiopulmonary equipment designed for monitoring, exercise and resuscitation of the Phase II participant.
Education/Training Requirements
Current LPN or Registered Nurse in Missouri or Compact State
Current BLS and ACLS Certification
Preferred Education/Training
BSN or Higher
Certification in nursing Specialty
Prior experience in Cardiology
