Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Surgical - FT Days
About our Position:
As a Medical Surgical nurse with Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, you’ll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to our diverse patient population.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- One (1) year of clinical and/or unit specific nursing experience is preferred
- Current Missouri licensure as a practical nurse is required
- BLS certification is required within 7 days of hire or transfer to position
Administers nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a Registered Nurse or Supervisor.
Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient and family centered care in the assigned nursing unit. Roles during this phase of care focus on assessing the patient and developing a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological, educational, and sociocultural needs of the patient and family. Additional responsibilities/duties necessary for the personal needs and comfort of patients. These duties may include but are not limited to, medication administration, personal hygiene, activities of daily living (ADL's), collection of vital signs, assisting other members of the team with procedures and unit cleaning.

Our dedicated, interdisciplinary team includes nurses, physicians, physical therapists, and more.
