Job Overview
The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest standards of patient care within our facility. This position requires a dedicated professional with extensive experience in nursing, particularly in assisted living, home health, and nursing home environments. The Director of Nursing will be instrumental in developing policies, managing clinical operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while advocating for resident rights and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the nursing team to provide exceptional patient care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and documentation reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
- Oversee the implementation of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments and ensure accurate reporting.
- Develop and enforce nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices in assisted living and home care settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans that respect resident rights.
- Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations within the nursing department.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for nursing staff to foster professional development.
- Address any concerns or issues related to patient care promptly and effectively.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of MDS processes and documentation requirements.
- Proven ability to supervise nursing staff effectively while promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail in documentation review.
- Familiarity with assisted living, home health, and nursing home operations.

Pay: $91,579.00 - $115,000.00 per year
