The Registered Nurse is responsible for upholding Abound Health, LLC’s mission, vision and values by providing support, services, education and compassion to Clients receiving Innovations Waiver or State Funded Services and their caregivers. Employee must maintain license to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Serve as medical needs consultant for Abound clinical team members as applicable.
- Provide generalized and client-specific training for DSPs and staff who work with clients who have health skills training needs or any other skills as determined by RN or clinical team.
- Participate in internal and external audits as they arise by conducting medication review audit.
- Conduct additional specific medication reviews as determined necessary by clinical team.
- Teach Health Skills training and recertification classes for new Direct Support Professional hires and current staff as needed
- Teach Medication Administration 2 classes to new and existing staff members, including DSPs and supervisors as needed per training calendar.
- Perform medication review according to AFL risk ranking needs.
- Perform RN monitoring and support according to AFL risk ranking needs.
- Facilitate ongoing training development and improvement.
- RN Open Room Consultation.
- Incident consultation to Quality Assurance team as needed.
General Responsibilities
- Provide privacy and confidentiality of all client records.
- Assure clients are free from abuse, mistreatment, and/or neglect and report any incidents of such to supervisor.
- Treat each client with dignity and respect.
- Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Abound Health’s philosophy and purpose.
- Provide a positive atmosphere which facilitates growth and learning of coping skills.
- Perform duties as requested by Supervisor

Credentialing
Employee must have a current license to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

- Associate’s Degree
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver License
- Safe Driving Record
- No substantiated findings of abuse and/or neglect
- Criminal, LEIE, NC Health Care Registry Check and Sexual Offender Background checks clear of health and safety risks
- Reliable and safe transportation
- Current Auto Insurance
