The Hospice of the Fisher Home is seeking a full-time Director of Nursing to oversee the clinical services in our 9-bed residence, as well as our growing community program. The Director of Nursing establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinates and oversees all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical personnel.
· Supports the clinical team and assists them in continually improving all aspects of hospice care services, provided through organization personnel.
· Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume that could impact staffing levels, revenues, or expenses.
· Evaluates performance of the Clinical Team.
· Oversees and ensures proper maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.
· Develops, implements, and evaluates the organizations orientation program for new personnel.
· Responsible for orientation of new organization personnel, directly or delegated.
· Assists with the evaluation of organization performance via performance improvement programs, productivity, quarterly and annual reviews. Assures for the quality and safe delivery of hospice services provided through the organization.
· Assist in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers nursing policies and procedures.
· Assures compliance with all local state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel.
Qualifications:
· Registered nurse in Massachusetts with current licensure to practice professional nursing.
· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
· Three years of management experience in a hospice or related health care organization.
· Valid driver’s license
· Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, and Hospice CoP.

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
