We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Director of Nursing to oversee the clinical operations and nursing staff of our nursing home in New Jersey. The Director of Nursing will ensure the provision of quality care to residents, adhere to compliance standards, and foster a supportive and professional environment for all staff and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing staff to ensure high standards of care and professional growth.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, residents, and their families to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Manage the nursing department's budget, including staffing levels and medical supplies.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and retention of nursing staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide updates on policies and ongoing training.
- Monitor resident care for quality assurance and implement improvements when necessary.
- Ensure all staff members follow safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.
- Address and resolve any issues related to patient care or staff performance promptly.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure holistic care and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the State of New Jersey.
- BSN required, MSN or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a long-term care or similar setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team and meet health care objectives.
- Empathetic and professional approach to handling patient and family concerns.
