Shore Point Recovery is a 25-bed residential detoxification facility located in Wareham, Massachusetts. We are looking for a responsible and well-trained professional with a Registered Nurse license who is knowledgeable of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders and the treatment thereof, with the experience and capability to lead a nursing team.
The Director of Nursing will be a part of a multidisciplinary team who is directly involved in providing quality care for consumers. The D.O.N. will be responsible for leading, managing, training and overseeing a Nursing team in assisting consumers with routine care and providing treatment consistent with standards of professional care. The D.O.N. ensures all operations of the Nursing team are completed to standard and are in compliance with health and safety guidelines. The aim of the Director of Nursing is to promote all consumers’ wellbeing by providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality nursing care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for oversight and delivery of the clinical nursing care to consumers receiving residential substance use disorder detoxification treatment.
- Lead and supervise the nursing team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal consumer care.
- Oversee the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident care plans, ensuring they meet individual needs and comply with all requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance consumer outcomes.
- Monitor compliance with health regulations and quality standards within the facility.
- Provide training and development opportunities for nursing staff to improve skills and knowledge.
- Ensure that quality services are being provided that meet or exceed compliance with appropriate regulatory governing agencies.
- Hire, train and develop assigned staff.
- Address any concerns or complaints from consumers regarding nursing care.
- Utilize adopted business models to appropriately measure metrics and develop processes that will ensure the delivery of optimal quality, safety and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance, accuracy and quality of documentation.
- Ensures standards of confidentiality in handling records, collaboration with other providers, and internal communication.
- Oversee medication administration and management in collaboration with the Medical Director.
- Work closely with providers for best Medication management for each consumer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience (medical and psychiatric)
- At least 2 years of experience in management & supervision of nursing care
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Mastery of evidenced based practices in nursing care to patients in withdrawal/detoxification from substance use.
- Mastery of regulatory compliance with appropriate governing agencies.
- Executive leadership with skill in management and development of staff.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of addiction medicine principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to nursing practices.
- Excellent supervisory skills to guide nursing staff in delivering quality care.
- Solid knowledge of physiology to inform patient assessments and care plans.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance in all aspects of patient information management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
