Job Description
Comprehensive, team oriented bariatric medical clinic seeking caring and sensitive NP/PA to provide care for patients undergoing a medically-supervised weight loss program. Responsibilities include performing history and physical examinations, interaction with the medical director and other staff and brief weekly visits with the patients. Lots of opportunities to work part time/ per diem.
Additional responsibilities include:

Pre and postoperative care of bariatric surgery patients.
Practice is fast-paced at times with plenty of opportunity to talk with patients during slower times.
Weight loss specific training is provided on the job and is easy and satisfying.
Most patients lose weight, eliminate many of their medications and are happy with their weight loss.
Physicians Plan serves in a specialty role and we do not assume primary care needs for these patients. It is important to feel comfortable caring for severely obese patients who have multiple medical problems.
