Salary Range: $15.00 - $23.00/hour depending upon experienceand education/certification

Job Summary: As a Medical Assistant in our gynecology office, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will be responsible for both administrative and clinical tasks, fostering a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Assist medical providers during examinations and procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, and collecting medical histories.
Administer medications and injections as directed by medical providers.
Educate patients about procedures, medications, and preventative care.

Administrative Duties:

Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Handle patient intake forms and insurance verification.
Process lab tests and communicate results to patients.
Assist with billing and coding for insurance claims.

Patient Care:

Provide compassionate support and reassurance to patients during their visits.
Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Ensure a clean and welcoming office environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) is a plus.
Previous experience in a medical office, preferably in gynecology or women's health.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
