Job Description

We are a reputable national behavioral health provider with a primary substance abuse location. We are in search of a strong Director of Nursing.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for providing 24 hour management of all nursing functions of the facility. Oversees the entire admission process and/or nursing intake process. Also, responsible for providing effective leadership to the nursing staff, have knowledge of the organization and directs all activities within the facility in accordance with standards of State and Federal regulations.

Adheres to the facility's philosophy.
Maintains an effective nursing organizational structure and delegates appropriate authority for completion of assigned responsibilities.
Functions as leader of Nursing Staff Meetings.
Implements plans for performance improvement.
Evaluates quality of program on an ongoing basis.
Provides for staff development (i.e. supervision, educational, etc.)
Assist in formulating standards for patient care.
Facilitates communication with ancillary services.
Attends clinical and administrative meetings to share information inter-departmentally.
Meets with nursing staff weekly.
Builds positive relations with staff and physicians.
Works in collaboration with CEO and Medical Director.
Demonstrates knowledge of nursing policies and procedures, and ability to communicate these clearly and accurately to staff.
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures with ability to communicate these procedures clearly and accurately.
Displays ability to direct and supervise program activities.
Oversees the admission and/or patient intake process.
Maintains an effective and efficient daily staffing pattern within budgetary constraints.
Ensures nursing staff meets educational/licensure requirements.
Evaluates nursing staff based on specified performance standards, on a timely basis.
Demonstrates ability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
Follows Infection Control guidelines at all times.
Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
Performs other tasked, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Valid RN License in the State of Florida
A minimum of 2 years management experience in the related field
CPR Certified

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
