LPN - Medical Records Review Specialist (Remote - Tennessee)

Our growing, woman-owned business, Arete Consulting LLC, is seeking a highly motivated LPN Medical Records Review Specialist to join our team! In this full-time, Monday-Friday role, you’ll work remotely, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and accuracy for medical-legal reviews in work-related injury case management.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records and charts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Workers' Compensation standards.
Provide legally accurate summaries of medical findings for use in case management, facilitating effective claim resolution.
Assist the team with scheduling and planning related to ongoing medical-legal review needs.
Communicate effectively with team members, insurance carriers, medical providers, attorneys, employers, and injured workers to ensure all records are accurate and complete.
Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and uphold privacy standards in all documentation.
Utilize software programs such as MS Office Suite, Adobe products, case management software, and EMR systems to support the documentation process.

Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in medical records and chart review.
Valid Tennessee LPN licensure in good standing.
Proven expertise in medical terminology, with knowledge of legal terminology preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage high-volume record reviews efficiently.
High proficiency in computer technology and various software programs.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar and spelling.
Ability to work independently, managing workflow to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining accuracy.
Dedicated, distraction-free workspace in your home that is HIPAA-compliant during business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST).
