LPN - Medical Records Review Specialist (Remote - Tennessee)

Our growing, woman-owned business, Arete Consulting LLC, is seeking a highly motivated LPN Medical Records Review Specialist to join our team! In this full-time, Monday-Friday role, you’ll work remotely, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and accuracy for medical-legal reviews in work-related injury case management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records and charts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Workers' Compensation standards.
- Provide legally accurate summaries of medical findings for use in case management, facilitating effective claim resolution.
- Assist the team with scheduling and planning related to ongoing medical-legal review needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members, insurance carriers, medical providers, attorneys, employers, and injured workers to ensure all records are accurate and complete.
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and uphold privacy standards in all documentation.
- Utilize software programs such as MS Office Suite, Adobe products, case management software, and EMR systems to support the documentation process.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in medical records and chart review.
- Valid Tennessee LPN licensure in good standing.
- Proven expertise in medical terminology, with knowledge of legal terminology preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage high-volume record reviews efficiently.
- High proficiency in computer technology and various software programs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar and spelling.
- Ability to work independently, managing workflow to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining accuracy.
- Dedicated, distraction-free workspace in your home that is HIPAA-compliant during business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST).

- Tennessee residency is mandatory for this role.
