Job description
We are a Federally Qualified Health Center located in West Philadelphia. We are looking for a dedicated and culturally competent Family Physician to join our team. Our busy health center is focused on providing care to an underserved urban population. We do provide our patients with extended hours, two days during the work. This position is responsible for working extended hours from the date of hire. The hours are listed below for your review. You will join a team of dedicated providers providing comprehensive primary care services. These services include gathering medical histories, performing comprehensive physicals, ordering and interpreting labs/ imaging results. All clinical notes must be completed within 24 hours of seeing your patients. Our health center mission is rooted in education as well. Our site has medical students rotating on site; thus, you have the opportunity to teach as well.

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide high level and patient-centered care in the discipline of Family Medicine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition.
- Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient.
- Coordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other health care providers.
- Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary.
- Must start working extending hours from date of hire.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
- Assists in recruiting and interviewing of new physicians and staff to the practice.
- Attends Directors' and Committee meetings.
- Acquires the necessary CME credits and takes the certification examination to maintain re-certification status.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least three (3) years clinical patient care experience as a specialist in Family Medicine.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree: Family Nurse Practitioner with MSN in Nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Must complete all of your notes within 24 hours of seeing your patients.
- Pennsylvania Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license.
- Advanced Nur sing Practice board certification.
- Prescriptive authority.
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

- 8-hour shift starting at 11:00 am to 8 pm (Tuesday and Thursday). 8am to 5pm shift (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Some weekends with events with our Outreach Department.
