**Director of Nursing**
**Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our healthcare team at Sedgewood Manor. Sedgewood Manor is a 38 bed skilled nursing factility located in Hopkins, SC. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall management and direction of our nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a supportive and professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nursing and leadership, and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and excellence.
**Duties:**
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the nursing department, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing practice, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the management of nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure that nursing practice is patient-centered, evidence-based, and aligned with best practices.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess the quality of care being delivered and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and manage the nursing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that patient care is comprehensive and seamless.
- Ensure that all medical records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Conduct documentation reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement systems for tracking and reporting patient outcomes.
- Ensure that all residents' rights are respected and that their care is tailored to their individual needs.
- Maintain a strong understanding of medical terminology and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in nursing practice.
- Manage and resolve conflicts in a fair and professional manner.
**Experience:**
- A current and unrestricted SC Registered Nursing license.
- Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of nursing administration and the management of nursing staff.
- Experience working in a nursing home or hospice care setting.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with documentation review and medical records management.
- Ability to lead by example and promote a culture of excellence and respect.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
