Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our exceptional nursing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in nursing management with experience in long term care, a strong commitment to quality care, and a proactive approach to leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care and compliance with regulations.
- Lead and support our nursing team, including training, mentorship, and performance evaluations, to maintain a positive, collaborative environment.
- Collaborate with our tenured nurse management team to maintain an agency-free workforce and enhance resident satisfaction.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Actively engage with residents, families, and staff to ensure open communication and foster a welcoming environment.
- Stay current with best practices, regulatory requirements, and nursing standards to maintain the highest quality of care.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team in a positive and productive manner.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, compassion, and integrity in resident care.
