Overview
We are seeking a dedicated MDS Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Medicare, utilization management, and experience in nursing home or medical office settings. Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is highly desirable.
Duties
- Coordinate and oversee the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of MDS assessments to regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information for assessments
- Conduct utilization management reviews to optimize patient care and reimbursement
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to patient assessments and care plans
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as PCC for data management
- Apply anatomy knowledge to accurately assign ICD-10 codes
Experience
- Previous experience working in a nursing home
- Proficiency in Medicare regulations and reimbursement guidelines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Pay: $46.18 - $48.12 per hour
