The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), a national association serving nurses and other healthcare professionals working in palliative and hospice care, is seeking a full-time Director of Credentialing.
The Director of Credentialing oversees the administration, operations, and development of the credentialing organization. Provides direction and oversight of HPCC’s credentialing programs in accordance with established accreditation standards. Collaborates with the CEO, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Credentialing & Health Policy, Exam Development Committees and Exam Development Vendors to develop and maintain all initial and recertification programs. This role will contribute to the long-term planning process for strategic initiatives related to credentialing. Manage HPCC staff responsibilities for the daily business operations pertaining to certification and recertification functions. Participates in appropriate industry/association meetings to maintain knowledge of industry trending and represents HPCC with appropriate related professional and trade organizations.

Essential Functions:
· Works with the Senior Vice President to develop programs and strategies to support the growth and performance of the certification programs.
· Manages HPCC staff, volunteers, committees, and stakeholders to identify new opportunities and services.
· Develops initiatives to increase the value of certification and enhance communication to promote credentialing within the hospice and palliative care industry.
· Develops and implements exam and recertification program policies and procedures. Oversees all activities related to exam development, administration, and reporting.
· Supports HPCC certification candidates and certificants. Oversees the development of materials and services to help candidates and certificants understand the certification and recertification processes.
· Maintains compliance and reporting standards for HPCC’s accreditation requirements.
Requirements:
· Master’s degree in nursing with current license to practice as a registered nurse/advanced practice registered nurse and CHPN®, ACHPN®, or similar professional certification (CAE, ICE-CCP, etc.) preferred or Master’s degree in related business field and credentialed within functional area
· At least five (5) years of relevant work experience.
· Knowledge of certification and associated subject matter, certification industry awareness, business management, written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong organizational skills, expertise in appropriate exam application software, and vendor contract/relationship management
Must have credentialing development experience (ie. exam development, content development, application reviews etc.) to be considered for this role.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
