RN POSITION SUMMARY 1. A Registered Nurse who provides assessments and monthly re-assessments of veteran clients for in-home aide services and supervises in-home aides and client care.
2. Assists with agency Quality Assurance activities, including every 30-day client record reviews as assigned.
3. Responsible for client care monitoring and communication with other appropriate team members and supervisors.
4. Provide required yearly, in-person training and on-the-job assessments for caregivers.
5. Responsible for following agency policies regarding procedures or duties that a Registered Nurse may perform.
6. Willing to travel within a 90 minute radius of our home office in Matthews and be available for caregivers and clients as needed to answer questions and assist with client's care as needed.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS 1. Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse License with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
2. Must pass a criminal background check.
3. Must have work status verified by E-Verify, or other third party – per Agency personnel policy.
4. Must not be listed on the North Carolina Medicaid Provider Termination and Exclusion list, or the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General list of excluded individuals/entities upon hire or during monthly checks – per Agency personnel policy.

TRANSPORTATION 1. Must have a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

RN RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS 1. Adheres to Agency policies and procedures - is knowledgeable about and consistently follows Agency policies and procedures.
2. Reports to work as scheduled and follows procedures for proper notification of absences and tardiness.
3. Attends in-service training as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
4. Demonstrates competence for assigned duties.
5. Documentation is completed according to established Agency policies.
6. Maintains a clean and safe working environment - follows Agency policies and standards for infection control.
7. Assessment and development of the In-Home Aide Plan of Care:
(a) Follows all Division of Health Service Regulation 10A NCAC 13J Home Care Licensure rules – regarding client assessment, supervision and plan of care for in-home aide services.
8. Supervision of In-Home Aides:
(a) Follows North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation Home Care Licensure rules 10A NCAC 13J and client payer source requirements – for frequency of supervision and documentation of supervision visits.
9. Inform Agency Director of dates and times of meetings.
10. Completes performance evaluations for staff directly supervising, and reviews performance evaluations of direct service staff with Agency Owner.
11. Takes part in the interview process with direct care position applicants alongside Agency Director, if requested.
12. Keep current with governmental requirements and communicate any changes to the employees in the Agency.
13. Must be aware of the Individual Rights and Responsibility Act.
14. Completes disciplinary action forms with final review conducted with the Agency Director.
15. Bravo Zulu Home Care has been credentialed to receive referrals from the VA Hospital. As referrals come in, The RN will need to do assessments on the new clients in a timely manner.
16. Ability to market is a plus.
