Serene Solutions Healthcare is currently seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with training and onboarding prospective candidates who are not yet holding a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Direct Care Assistant (DCA) certification. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching the Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) approved 40-Hour Direct Care Staff Training Curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and guide candidates through the Virginia DSS-approved 40-Hour Direct Care Staff Training Curriculum, a basic online introductory course for individuals preparing to work with elderly, disabled, handicapped, or incapacitated individuals who require family aid.
- Train new hires on fundamental skills in areas such as:
- Nutrition assistance
- Home management
- Personal care for individuals in need of aid
- Provide both virtual and in-person training, ensuring that prospective candidates are fully prepared to provide quality care.
- Ensure that all training meets DSS standards and helps candidates gain the knowledge required for certification.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license.
- Previous experience in training or teaching healthcare staff is preferred.
- Knowledge of and ability to teach the Virginia DSS 40-Hour Direct Care Staff Training Curriculum.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively teach and mentor new candidates.
- Passion for helping others and ensuring quality care for vulnerable individuals.
